Passage: Ephesians 6:5–9

MISSIONAL COMMUNITY QUESTIONS

1. Reread Ephesians 6:5-9. If possible, listen to the sermon again.

What does this passage teach or reveal about God?
What does this passage teach or reveal about human beings and the world? What does this passage teach or reveal about Jesus & the gospel?
What does this passage teach or reveal about the hope Christ gives now – and the restoration promised in the future?

2. In looking over your notes from this weeks sermon what was the most important truth from God's Word? Was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you? Any questions?

3.  How does this passage encourage our worship of Jesus through our work? Be confessional to your MC, are you reflecting "following Jesus" through your work?  By grace, in what ways can you be more faithful?  How do we worship Jesus in a job that we do not love?

4.  How is God currently using your work to disciple you?  How is he sanctifying you through work?  How are you making disciples at work?

5.  Many see work as punishment or simply a way to make money.  However, as believers, we are to see our work as worship and mission.  How are you being missional at work?  What are some practical ways we can engage in mission at work?

6.  How does this passage specifically call me to change my thinking, redirect my affections, replace my behaviors, and trust my Savior?  Simply put what is the text telling me to think, say, or do?
